The Lipedema Summit is designed to be an educational, supportive, and easy-to-follow experience for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Lipedema.
Over three days, attendees will hear from leading clinicians, surgeons, therapists, researchers, and patient advocates who are actively working in the field. Each session is structured as a focused conversation, allowing experts to explain complex topics in a way that is accessible and meaningful for both patients and professionals.
Whether someone is newly diagnosed, exploring treatment options, or supporting a loved one with Lipedema, the summit aims to provide clear insight into the many aspects of this condition.
June 10–12, 2026
The summit takes place over three days, with new sessions released throughout each day.
Attendees can log in and watch sessions as they become available, creating a structured but flexible learning experience. Each day focuses on a key stage in understanding and navigating Lipedema.
The summit begins by building a clear foundation for understanding Lipedema.
Sessions on the first day explore how Lipedema is diagnosed, how it differs from obesity and lymphedema, and the early decisions many patients face when navigating care.
Topics include:
• Understanding Lipedema and the diagnostic process
• Differentiating Lipedema from obesity and lymphedema
• Lymphatic health and supportive therapies
• Nutrition and inflammation considerations
• Hormone factors and daily management strategies
The goal of Day One is to provide clarity and context so attendees can better understand what they are experiencing and the options available to them.
Day Two takes a deeper look at surgical pathways and recovery considerations.
Experienced surgeons and clinicians discuss candidacy, techniques, potential risks, and what thoughtful post-operative care truly involves. These conversations are designed to provide balanced information that helps attendees understand both the possibilities and the responsibilities involved in surgical treatment.
Topics include:
• Surgical treatment approaches
• Candidacy and evaluation considerations
• Risks and expected outcomes
• Recovery timelines and post-operative care
• Long-term results and patient experiences
As part of the summit, a limited in-person gathering will take place on June 11 in Downtown Los Angeles, broadcast to the virtual audience.
This special event brings together select doctors, speakers, and attendees in an intimate setting designed for deeper discussion and meaningful conversation. In-person participants will have a unique opportunity to engage directly with experts while the broader summit audience can watch the live broadcast.
Space is limited, so please secure your ticket early.
The final day focuses on life beyond diagnosis or surgery.
Experts explore long-term management strategies, ongoing health considerations, and emerging research shaping the future of Lipedema care.
Topics include:
• Long-term care strategies
• Inflammation and metabolic considerations
• Hormone balance and systemic health
• Emotional wellbeing and body image
• New research and the evolving understanding of Lipedema
Day Three helps attendees think beyond immediate treatment decisions and consider how to support long-term health and quality of life.
One of the most valuable aspects of the summit is the opportunity to hear directly from professionals who specialize in Lipedema care.
Sessions are structured as hosted conversations rather than lectures. This format allows experts to explain research, clinical insights, and practical considerations in a way that feels approachable and easy to follow.
Attendees will also hear from patient advocates who share their experiences navigating diagnosis, treatment decisions, and daily life with Lipedema.
Registration for the summit is free, allowing attendees to watch sessions during the live event as they are released across the three days.
Each session is available for a limited time during the live broadcast.
For those who prefer to watch at their own pace or revisit sessions later, an optional All-Access Pass provides extended replay access along with additional educational resources.
The Lipedema Summit was created to bring together trusted information, expert perspectives, and patient experiences in one place.
For many attendees, the summit may be the first time they hear clinicians openly discuss the complexities of Lipedema and validate the experiences of those living with the condition.
Our hope is that the summit provides not only education, but also clarity, support, and connection for the many people navigating this journey.

News
Physicians continued discussing evolving standards of care. Patients shared personal stories and treatment experiences. Sponsors, clinicians, and wellness partners answered questions while new connections formed between people who, only hours earlier, had been strangers. It was perhaps the clearest sign that the 2026 Lipedema Summit Live Event had achieved its purpose. Held on June 11, 2026, in Downtown Los Angeles, the event brought together patients, clinicians, surgeons, researchers, therapists, advocates, caregivers, and industry partners for an evening centered on education, awareness, and connection. While the virtual Lipedema Summit was designed to reach thousands of people around the world, the live event created something equally valuable: the opportunity for meaningful conversations to happen face-to-face. Throughout the evening, attendees engaged directly with leading experts, explored emerging research, discussed treatment approaches, and exchanged experiences with others navigating similar challenges. Conversations ranged from evolving standards of care and surgical outcomes to conservative therapies, patient advocacy, and the future of Lipedema research. For many attendees, the event offered something difficult to find elsewhere: direct access to experts, honest conversations, and the opportunity to connect with others who truly understand the realities of living with Lipedema. Long after the final panel concluded, those conversations continued, reflecting both the growing momentum within the Lipedema community and the shared commitment to advancing awareness, education, and patient care.

When most people think about Lipedema, they think about abnormal fat accumulation. They think about disproportionately larger legs, pain, tenderness, easy bruising, and the frustration of trying countless diets and exercise programs without seeing meaningful changes.

GLP 1 medications have changed the conversation around obesity, metabolic health, inflammation, and chronic disease. For many patients, they have opened doors that previously felt out of reach. Yet as these medications become more widely available, a new challenge has emerged: access does not always equal quality care.

Education
Lipedema is often discussed as a physical condition, one that affects fat distribution, lymphatic health, and metabolic function. But for the millions of women living with Lipedema, the emotional wounds can run just as deep as the physical ones. The reflection in the mirror that no longer feels like you. The constant comparisons. The judgment from strangers, doctors, and sometimes even the people closest to you. These experiences leave marks that go far beyond the body.
